The Sacramento State Hornets downed the Pacific Tigers 4-2 in tennis Sunday after rain forced the match to be played indoors.

Freshman Kiryl Harbatsiuk, sophomore Anton Stryhas and junior Sven-David Rueff won their matches in singles play to help the Hornets move to a 4-2 record.

The Hornets won in doubles play 2-1 with victories from Harbatsiuk and Stryhas in the No. 1 match and Rueff and Artur Klimenka in the No. 3 match.

The match was close as all of the Hornets’ singes victories were decided in three sets. Sophomore Holden Ching and Freshman Ronan Conlon were barely defeated in doubles 9-8

Next week the team has four matches, beginning at New Mexico on Wednesday.
