Women’s basketball bested by Bobcats 72-59

The Sacramento State Hornets fell to the Montana State Bobcats 72-59 in women’s basketball tonight. The loss dropped the Hornets to 6-17 (4-7 BSC) while the Bobcats improved to 12-10 (7-3 BSC).
Atty Boyer notched 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Hornets and was second on the team in minutes played with 38.
The Hornets were only 8-14 in free throw shooting while the Bobcats were 14-17 and had four players in double-digit scoring.
In the first half The Bobcats led by 15 points. The Hornets closed the gap to 47-44 in the second half but couldn’t complete the comeback.
Turnovers were a problem as the Hornets lost possession 23 times.
