Once again it is that time of year &- the time to celebratethe Earth we live on and learn creative ways to preserve it.That’s right, it will soon be Earth Day 2004, a project ofthe Sierra Club Sacramento Group. The festivities start at 11 a.m.on Saturday and end at 5 p.m.. The event will be in the SacramentoState main quad. Admission is free.

This year, there are many additions to the festival. DrewDellinger, accomplished global justice poet, will be sharing someof his work.

There will also be a Haute Trash Fashion Show, featuring designsmade from recycled goods. In addition to this there will beworkshops given by the solar living institute, edible landscapingdemonstrations, and much more.

Musical entertainment will also be provided by Bruce Morishitaand MorTaiko Drumming.

Be sure to bring any used household batteries, ink cartridges,or old cell phones to be recycled.
