Samaha Samy is the political beat writer for The State Hornet, joining the team in Sept. 2020. Before joining The State Hornet, he worked as a freelance journalist with Al Masry Al Youm, one of the top five newspapers in Egypt, North Africa and the Middle East. During his work for Al Masry Al Youm, he interviewed many prominent subjects such as Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek and Egyptian and Arab diplomats in California such as former Science Adviser of the Egyptian President and CalTech professor, Essam Heggy.
