Film in celebration of Black History Month today at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.

As part of a month-long film festival in celebration of Black History Month, the A.F.R.I.C.A. Club will be showing the film “Africans in America: Judgment Day: 1831-1865” today at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. in room 1533 of the Library.

The film focuses on historical events that took place between 1831 and 1865, resulting in a profound impact and effect on black history. Topics covered in the film include the expansion of slavery and its integration west, the development of the Civil War, and the roles of abolitionists.

Admission is free. The film will also be aired on CSUS closed circuit television and local channel 8 at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
