AIRC voted ‘Best Study Spot’ at Sac State

AIRC still providing IRT services virtually

The Academic Information Resource Center (AIRC) was voted the “Best Study Spot”  at Sacramento State in The State Hornet’s fourth annual Best of Sac State survey.

Brysen Klinefelter, a communication studies major and offensive tackle  for Sac State’s football team, said that the AIRC is a good place to study, because it’s not very crowded.

“The AIRC is one of the best places on campus to study,” Klinefelter said. “It doesn’t get as crowded as the library and still has all the resources you need.”

The AIRC is normally open 24/7, although it has been closed due to COVID-19. The closure has left many students, like political science and journalism major Jonny Rico, without their usual place to study.

“I live right across the street at Academy 65, across the street from the stadium,” Rico said. “So the AIRC is where I spend most of my free time doing my school work.”

When fully operational, the center provides a space for students to study and do homework. The AIRC also provides students with computer labs, laptop rentals and tech support.

Services provided at the AIRC like the IRT Service Desk Team and Classroom Support will still be available virtually.

“The technical support office is something that everybody at Sac State needs to know about,” Klinefelter said.
