The Roost outranks all other Sac State campus eateries for the spring 2020 semester
The Hornets have spoken: here’s why The Roost was voted Best of Sacramento State’s new campus eatery.
A quick, inexpensive snack stop for students on the go, located in Sac State’s University Union, Hornet chicken lovers have a heaven on campus at The Roost.
While The Roost may not be a five-star dining experience, it is the perfect option for students on a time crunch with a low budget.
“I’m a big fan of The Roost on campus,” Kara Einsel, a Sac State communications major, said. “I have never been disappointed in the food quality and have eaten there many times. The service is pretty slow and seems slightly unorganized, but overall, I love the food! It’s like a budget Chick-Fil-A and I’m here for it.”
The Roost offers all of their sandwiches in a meal deal. Patrons can choose between a regular, club or spicy chicken sandwich with a side of fries and a drink.
Not feeling meat? The Roost also offers a few meatless options for their vegetarian visitors.
The Roost’s menu also includes hand-scooped ice cream and milkshakes to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Sac State student Billy Hernandez suggests students head to The Roast if they’re craving chicken and on a budget.
