The Sacramento Crocker Art Museum hosted a Black History Month festival in honor of its “Black Artists in America: Civil Rights to the Bicentennial” and “Joyce J. Scott: Messages” exhibits on Sunday featuring art by Alma Thomas and James A. Porter.
Students were led on a timeline of history told through the lens of historical artifacts in the University Union’s Ballroom, Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024. “The True Black History Museum” is a traveling history exhibit documenting the momentous achievements made by Black Americans.
