Sac Pack Drive to collect school supplies for underprivileged youth

State Hornet Staff

Sacramento State’s Community Engagement Center is hosting their biannual Sac Pack Drive beginning on Monday and will continue until May 25.

The Sac Pack Drive is hoping to gather as many gently-used school and art supplies to benefit the youth in need of them through local non-profit organizations.

Drop off spots will be on the fourth floor of the University Library outside the Community Engagement Center, outside the ASI Hot Spot on the first floor of the University Union and in the University Village Apartment Complex off of La Riviera Drive.

Sac State clubs or departments can sponsor a collection site and compete against each other to win the Most Supplies Collected award, Best Decorated award for how well they decorate their collection sites, and Facebook Favorites for getting your collection the most ‘likes’ on Facebook.

A donation wish list can be found here and those who have questions about the Sac Pack Drive can contact [email protected] for more information.
