All about the memories
December 14, 2007
For some students, it is the end of another semester. However, for some students this is the end of their college career and the beginning of the rest of their lives.
Yes, in one week the semester is going to end, and for some seniors it means they are graduating. The thought that will probably pop up into some of their minds is how much they are going to miss Sacramento State University.
Some students might miss the pizza sessions with their friends at Round Tables Pizza, or some might miss the peaceful setting of the music rooms. For every graduating senior, their cherished thoughts of Sac State could be anything.
“I will miss some things at Sac State like the free salsa classes in the Union every week. There is nothing like that in the bay for free,” graduating sociology senior Jasmine Marlow said.
Marlow also said a lot of her friends aren’t graduating this semester as well and she will miss them the most.
For some it will be the atmosphere of the college environment. Elaine Welteroth, a graduating journalism major, said she will miss going to the basketball games. Welteroth said even though Sac State lost sometimes, it will still fun to have a team that she can claim.
Though there are many who will miss the memories, there are students that will not miss one thing about Sac State.
“Personally, I can’t wait to be done from this place. I don’t think I will miss much I am just happy I am finally free,” said graduating criminal justice senior Taylor Magaziner.
Some graduates have been here for four years, some longer some shorter, but memories are always made no matter how long a student was at Sac State.
“I am never going to forget the yard show that my fraternity (Phi Beta Sigma) put on outside of the Union in the spring semester,” graduating communications major Phillip Pearson said. “We use to have fun out there. I am going to miss that the most.”
For graduates they might miss Sac State, and they might not. Whether they admit it or not, a part of the school will always be with them when they are alumni. They will always be a Hornet.
