Fellow Hornets Joyce Martinez Gutierrez and Melissa Valenzuela paired up last weekend and with three straight victories in the blue doubles, won the consolation bracket of the Cal Nike Invitational in Berkely, California.

Hornets Karina Jarlkaganova and Gutierrez were in the quarterfinals of the singles portion before being defeated.

Besides Sacramento State, Fresno State, University of the Pacific, Arizona State, Saint Mary’s among others sent players to the tournament.
