CSUS String Project informational meeting tonight

In order to enrich 4th and 5th grade students? musical abilities, the CSUS String Project will offer an affordable violin, viola and cello instruction program during the spring semester.
The project, made possible by a National Endowment for the Arts grant, is calling for 30 students between the ages of 9 to 11 to join. Two informational meetings, which the parents and prospective students must attend, will be held tonight, Feb. 6 at 6 and 7 pm. in Capistrano 321.
The prestigious grant is designed to offer string instruction to community children while providing teaching experience to string music education majors at CSUS. Only 23 universities nationwide receive the grant and CSUS is the only university to receive the grant in California. Students are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
