Review: Rush Hour 2
September 4, 2001
The slapstick comedy duo of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are on the big screen again to reprise their roles in the sequel to Rush Hour. L.A.P.D. detective James Carter (Tucker) and Inspector Lee (Chan) both go to Hong Kong on a much-anticipated vacation, only to find out after they arrive that a bomb has exploded in the American Embassy, killing two U.S. customs agents. To their surprise, the Hong Kong police department assigns Lee to the case. A very annoyed Carter feels as if his vacation has just ended, whereas for Lee this case is very personal – the man behind the death of the two customs agents was also behind the death of Lee?s father. The two set out to solve the case, but this time around it?s Carter?s turn to learn the ropes and Lee?s turn to be the teacher. If you?re ready for a good laugh then this is definitely the movie to see. Follow the duo from Hong Kong to Las Vegas, where Carter gets way out of control.
