Latin CD churns out hit after hit
April 17, 2001
Latin music has made a huge comeback in the music industry with the new release of “Let?s Dance.” It?s an extraordinary combination of hits that include well known Latin artists of all times such as Gloria Estefan, Elvis Crespo and Jon Secada.
Most of the songs on the 12-track album contain Spanish lyrics. The beat of the music range from house to high-energy Latin mixes, and with a combination of the two on a CD. The music is so good it?s hard to notice the lack of English in this album.
Shakira, mostly known for her up-beat performance at the Latin Grammy?s this year, delivers her famous song, “Ojos Asi,” on this album. This song will keep everyone?s heads moving and bodies shaking.
Another track is called “Por Amarte,” which is a remix version from the highly talented Enrique Iglesias. The background of this song can be compared to many of his other songs, but trust me ladies, after hearing this track, you?ll be wondering if there?s a video to it.
Of course, who could forget the ever-so-popular Ricky Martin. “Corazon” is not one of my favorite tracks on this album, but if it means not listening to “Livin? La Vida Loca” again, then this mix by DJ Grego will do.
“Let?s Dance” continues on with one of the best Latin musician of all times, Gloria Estefan. Like always, she continues to deliver a dynamic piece which is titled, “No Me Dejes De Querer.” The beat in this selection will make everyone want to learn how to Salsa.
So if you want a CD with all the great Latin hits on it, then my suggestion would be “Let?s Dance.” This album has it all from Spanish lyrics to high-energized beats. So when you?re out shopping for a dance CD, don?t pass this one by, it will liven up your next party.
