CSUS alumnus Tom Hanks stands up against cancer

Sacramento State’s famous alumnus, Tom Hanks, participated alongside other celebrities in a series of PSAs titled “I Stand Up To Cancer” for World Cancer Day Feb. 4.

Celebrities from most genres of the entertainment industry were present, from Seth Rogen to Tim McGraw.

These celebrities, along with many others have made a PSA about who has been affected by cancer in their lives.

I would go with “not only celebrities, but ordinary people from all over the world talking about their loved ones that have passed away due to cancer

The video also shares specific statistics about cancer. For example, 7 million people worldwide die from cancer each year. Also, one in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
