The man whose sighting on the Sacramento State campus prompted a police search of Desmond Hall surrendered to police Thursday night, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Michael Pulliambanks, 19, surrendered at the county jail in Martinez. Police believe Pulliambanks came to Sac State on Tuesday evening to visit someone he knew.

Sac State and Antioch police searched Desmond Hall for him, and Sac State police have since stepped up security on campus.

He was one of four suspects in the shooting death of Pittsburg resident Arnold Muckleroy, 24, who was killed Dec. 20 during a robbery attempt.

Three other suspects, all Antioch residents, have also been charged in the slaying and are in police custody.

Pulliambanks had a $2.1 million arrest warrant issued against him since late April.
